The challenge

The housing had to close over the board without screws, keep the antenna area clear, and survive vibration under a vehicle dashboard. The client wanted a textured cosmetic finish with no visible gate or ejector marks.

Our approach

  • Snap fits designed with the client's engineers and checked for strain before the steel was cut.
  • Gates moved to hidden faces and ejector pins placed on internal ribs, off the cosmetic surfaces.
  • Lifters for the internal undercuts, so the mold opens without side actions on the outside.
  • Texture specified at the design stage, with draft increased to suit it.

The result

The two halves snap together by hand and stay closed under vibration. The outer surfaces carry the texture with no visible gate or ejector marks.

Product design

We work with a diverse range of industries, providing tailored solutions for design, prototyping and manufacturing needs.

Our process

Our Roadmap

  1. Consultation & RFQ

Every project starts with a consultation call, so we understand your part, timeline, and budget clearly, upfront.

  2. DFM & Material Selection

We review your design for manufacturability and recommend materials suited to application, cost, and finish.

  3. Mold Design & Flow Analysis

Our engineering team optimizes mold design and material flow to ensure part quality and manufacturability.

  4. Tooling & T0 Sampling

Once tooling is built, we pull first trial samples to check fit, function, and finish before mass production.

  5. Production & Delivery

Once approved, we proceed with production and conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with agreed specifications.
