The challenge

Each stator stack is loaded into the mold and overmolded with an insulating layer. The stack has to sit in exactly the same place every shot, or the wall over the windings varies and the insulation cannot be trusted.

Our approach

  • Locating pins and a self-centring nest, so the operator cannot load a stack out of position.
  • Designed for a vertical press, so the stack rests on the lower half by gravity while it is loaded.
  • Venting at the end of fill around the slots, so the thin insulating walls fill without trapped air.
  • Inspection of the first parts on the video measuring system, section by section.

The result

The tool overmolds the stack in a single shot with an even insulating wall, and runs in production on our vertical press with the stack located the same way each cycle.

Product design

We work with a diverse range of industries, providing tailored solutions for design, prototyping and manufacturing needs.

Our process

Our Roadmap

  1. Consultation & RFQ

Every project starts with a consultation call, so we understand your part, timeline, and budget clearly, upfront.

  2. DFM & Material Selection

We review your design for manufacturability and recommend materials suited to application, cost, and finish.

  3. Mold Design & Flow Analysis

Our engineering team optimizes mold design and material flow to ensure part quality and manufacturability.

  4. Tooling & T0 Sampling

Once tooling is built, we pull first trial samples to check fit, function, and finish before mass production.

  5. Production & Delivery

Once approved, we proceed with production and conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with agreed specifications.
